Isn't it just! There is method to the madness, of course - it's not as random as it appears
BarefootEm and I have been on a number of banger rallies in years gone by, whereby you buy a shit, probably barely roadworthy car, dress it up, and try to drive across Europe with a load of other teams doing daft challenges. Everyone chooses their own theme, but then there was always one day of the week where there was a prescribed theme, in order to get, say, a load Father Christmases driving round a Swiss town in July.
So, our theme on this particular year was Futurama - we decorated our Citroën AX like the Planet Express ship; Emma dressed as Leela; I was Dr Zoidberg. Our very talented friend (and her equally talented husband) were in an MX-5 dressed as a giant vintage suitcase complete with leather straps and tourist stickers etc, but she made us Nibbler as a prop, along with a couple of retro ray guns for us.
Oh, and the theme day that year was Wonder Woman - a predominantly male crowd, many of which were of certain dimensions, shall we say, all dressed as Wonder Woman, was a strange sight to behold!

It was an epic trip. We came back via the Nürburgring and ran our first ever race - 24.4km round the GP track + the Nordschleife. Stayed in a beautiful fairytale German cottage near the Ring.
Anyway, if the group will indulge for for slightly longer, here are a few pics (can't find one of Emma's Leela yet, though):
Tonight, Matthew, ishep is... Dr Zoidberg!

Looks great, well worth working through 200+ pages to find that clue! My spy is a little less exciting.
