A very honest blog.mblnfercr The 60 is a very deceptive race IMHO & a lot of people pulled out with cramp or heat exhaustion this year.You did very well to finish in a very good time despite your suffering. |

Yeah flip, I was very surprised more people didn't pass me in the last 20 miles - only 2, and one of those on the driveway at the school! I'll be back to have another go in a few years, and hope to have more to give in the second half.. Hat's off to those still moving after 16 hours, and of course to all the cheery marshals

Rather scared, about this race but hoping Ive put enough miles in except every week plan some step reps and still not managed...but still six weeks to go so will have to do some!

Ooo look there's a thread :-). A last minute decision saw me enter on the day for the Saltburn 'half' last weekend. I've since declared it my favourite race ever and am seriously contemplating Goathland. Think it'll be a while before I consider the really long stuff, but over dinner tonight was talking about maybe having a go at all 6 halves next year and the 6 full marathons the year after. What have you started........
