Like the line on rollers, good idea. Was it purpose built or adapted?

I too like the roller line.
I have a double retractable wash line with hooks in 3 positions over the garden so I catch the sun

The line on wheels is quite common here. You can get fancier ones that have their own little roof to keep rain off, if it isn’t blowing in sideways.

It’s raining heavily now so I’m glad I got it out when I did.

I'm another visitor after listening to the podcast :-)

I leave my whirligig line up (ie open) all year round. Does that make me a slattern? It's behind a trellis with clematis growing over it so you can't really see it.

Mine’s up all year. I just give it a rub down with a damp cloth before use :-O

:-O

I used to take mine down every time and put a cover over it even if I knew I would be using it next day.

I had my sofa throw covers out today and they are nice and dry despite not being back home till 7pm

I used to leave my old one up all the time, but putting my new one up and taking it down is so slick I enjoy it almost as much as the pegging

LG probably irons her washing line before every use too :)

Annoyingly, it drizzled on my washing today and so I brought it in damp.
My IoW drying situation is annoying: my washing machine there doesn’t spin as fast as my other one so the washing goes out wetter, and I have a folding airer which fits nicely in the cupboard but is too small to take a proper load with enough breathing room for stuff to dry well. So even though it’s always windy there I often have to finish drying inside. I need a better solution!

I'm with Lip Gloss on this thread.

Derby Tup, we are talking about hanging out the washing, not what you get up to in the privacy of your own home. I dread to think what Jock Itch would say if he read your post.

Ive got washing line envy. I'm certainly not posting a picture of my old rotary line on here. I'd be subjected to all sorts of ridicule & abuse.

Lovely drying day today on the South Coast. Washing nice & dry when I got it in this afternoon.
