Yeah, I received the same email Fergus. Like you say £8 for a RonHill T-shirt doesn't seem excessive... but like you claiming it for anything other than running 26.2 in the same day doesn't seem right, and so I don't think I'll enter.
That said, based on today's email "Runners signed up to our 2021 event have already saved a combined £15,000 by using the exclusive discount link below" at least 2,150 previous entrants have signed up for it, plus any "new" runners, so worth the organisers time at least.

I’ve claimed my £8 discounted rate T-shirt after covering the distance on Sunday while the rest of the world was running for London. Even the standard £16 price tag seems reasonable in comparison with the offer Edinburgh Marathon have just emailed me: £30 for a virtual marathon you can spread over the rest of the year!

I agree, Nelly. Personally, I don't run a marathon as a way of getting a t-shirt. I have enough t-shirts. I run a marathon to know I can, and the function of a t-shirt is, at best, a reminder in years to come in my stack of running kit that I did it.

Yep, had mine a few weeks ago I think. At least I got an email saying I'd been refunded, didn't check the cc statement!
