Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nope, it's not happening this year if the 10k is off.

hard for GMM / London / Brighton to say they are on following the cancellation of Great North Run...

We all know they aren’t going to happen. First time in 14 years that I will not have completed a marathon unless I do one on my own or there is a small localist event hastily arranged.

No not going to happen.

Will be some smaller less than 100 runner races on possibly towards very back end of year with a bit of luck but thats it

it was a masterstroke of yours to race that low key event back in March Keith!

I've deferred GMM already but if London were to go ahead I think I'd run but I'd do well to avoid a PW given my current state!

I've just slotted in my schedule up to the start of a Manchester 12 week P&D, will definitely get the legs moving over the next few weeks so that I can be ready for my fourth DNS in a row over the last year!

Eldest son's already decided that London won't be happening either, despite running a solo 73min half a week or so ago, but i doubt he'd find it a struggle to get ready for London being in that state already.

I think it's just a matter of when it's called off now.

Glad I got my sub 80 half in right before lockdown so at least not all the training went to waste, can't see me gettig into that shape again though.

I've accepted it's not in. But also, signed up to boston uk just incase. So starting a 12 week plan in a weeks time. Wont be anywhere near the form I was in, in march. While I'm disappointed, im just happy I fit a HM race in the week before lockdown and got my first race win and PB. Even if I never get back to that form, I've achieved something on my bucket list.
