*** VERY IMPORTANT ***
The Manchester-Altrincham metrolink is currently suspended due to s problem with overhead lines. They can NOT guarantee the line will be reopen in the morning. If you were planning to use the Metrolink Altrincham line I suggest you monitor the Mentrolink website and Twitter feed.

I know Spanners, I'm in Timperley too, but Navigation is my local stop... I'm considering using the new Airport line from Wythenshawe park area... not sure how I'll get there yet though.

Further general thoughts:-
- If you're coming from central Manchester it's probably unlikely to be catastrophic, as you can still use the Eccles line (getting off at Exchange Quay); or either of the East Didsbury or Manchester Airport lines (getting off at Trafford Bar)
- Possible options for those coming from the south-west are either the East Didsbury or Manchester Airport lines... but for many getting to these lines will involve crossing the race route, and thus dicing with road closures...
- How they're going to manage the Relay Runners, if it doesn't reopen in time, I've no idea (my work has two teams in the Corporate Relay!)

Nelly have you spoken to someone from Metrolink. Their website is pretty hopeless. Little information is available. Had not thought about the Wythenshawe line. its a bit of a trek for me but alternate is a 5 mile + walk to start. The detour route by car, begging wife for lift, looks bit complicated.

No not spoken to anyone... most of the useful information is from their Twitter account.
Google tells me I'm 1.6mi from Moor Road Metrolink, which is only 0.6mi further than I am from Navigation Rd, so I think that's my best option.
