Very tempted to have another go at this one - first two attempts weren't great, maybe third time lucky?! Sounds like the 19th is the most possible date - not sure I want to risk booking a hotel yet just in case though! I've order my VMLM sorry magazine - if by some chance they send me the other one, or I get lucky with a club place I'll do both!

Might be worth people booking hotels that have a good cancellation policy?
Anyway I'm in for this I think. Will be my first full so feeling terrified! Have GNR in September so week build my mileage from there. Not entered yet as forgot the price change date. I only live in Lancashire so don't need to worry about hotels. I'm just finishing a 3year postgraduate course at Manchester uni so training is going to replace studying and it seems appropriate that it should be Manchester!

From twitter last night; "got a meeting tomorrow to confirm the dates, fingers crossed" so we might hear something further today.
SOD - you heading back to the same hotel in Sale?
pink fairy - you can currently book a fully flexible room (amend up to 1pm on day of arrival) at the Premier Inn about 300 yards from the start line for £91 (which obviously isn't that cheap!) or £49 for Ibis in the City Centre (about 10mins on tram to start line). Quite a few of the guys stayed at the Ibis in Salford Quays (about a 5min walk from the start line) but for some reason that hotel doesn't seem to be allowing bookings for April 2015 yet.

Nelly - yep, think so. It's location is perfect for viewing and they do large 'family rooms'.

I looked at the Premier Inn yesterday, was about £150 ish for sat and sun, stayed there last year and it was quicker to go back to the loo that queue in the race village, so worth a bit extra for convenience - pun intended! I only paid about £50 for sat night last year though!

Several weeks ago I booked a hotel very near Old Trafford for every Saturday night in April when it was selling single rooms at £39.99. Cancellable without a fee, so I'll cancel those Saturdays that don't precede a marathon.
Don't know if there's still anything, but it's the Victoria Warehouse, which I booked through Laterooms.com
