close to the finish is good Nelly - we'll be in before the hoards anyway (getting cocky now!).

Just booked myself into the 'Rock n Roll Marathon' in Liverpool on 25th April (http://uk.competitor.com/liverpool)...the idea is to take a easy week or so post Manchester, then have a quick turn-round and sharpen for another dig at my PB in Liverpool.
I've not ran it before but I do like the look of the medals and the route will see me take in some new sights...

WW - it's not the hoards I'm worried about, it's the locals waking up just before midday after a heavy Saturday night and "getting straight back on it" before I've had time to finish, get changed and hobble round the corner from the finish line to find a seat I'm preferring your cocky attitude to the doom and gloom of your posts of the previous few days over on the 3:15 thread
SOD - I'm hoping that's a typo in your post, rather than you actually think it's in April??? (It's 25th MAY) I must admit, Liverpool is my back-up plan if everything were to go wrong on Sunday and I decide I want to have another go asap. *turns on positive mind set* But as it will all go to plan on Sunday I won't need to go across to Liverpool.

I think having this as a possible back-up plan also gives me added confidence to run a harder marathon at Manchester...I know if it all goes wrong I get to have a re-try just 7 weeks later.

Its the first running of that particular version of Liverpool marathon check out the particular thread for the whole sordid back story... I would have loved to run it but will be in Newcastle on that day..
As for Manchester, I will be a bit slower than most others but would be nice to meet up in a pub afterwards, especially with Nelly who has been a total star on this thread.. Bishops Blaize sounds as good a place as any other...
I will also be going to the marathon mania event the day before..

Nelly, I did say I was voting for the other one as it was nearer Salford Quays where my car will be - but I don't mind being ignored, honest I'll hobble over for a juice

Did somebody say something?!?!? Sorry I missed that Gus. You'll be finishing a few minutes in front of me, probably about the same time as WW, and I'm sure he won't mind giving you a piggy back to the pub!
monsenb - hope to see you at Marathon Mania. Sorry if you've mentioned this before, but I presume Manchester is just a training run in preparation for Two Oceans rather than an all out PB attempt? Good luck with Two Oceans and also the fund raising; The Christie is very close to my heart as my wife was treated there less than 3 years ago.
