I always have wrinkly skin ;)

I think its what kept me going though - I kept thinking that if I walked I'd take even longer and then I'd Freeze To Death

Got the email as well looks like they have made some significant route improvements IMHO and hopefully the baggage will be sorted or car parking close enough to use car. BUT it's a long way off so even with the 10% discount offer I think I will leave it until later in the year to make a decision

They've somehow made it even flatter, which is impressive. No underpass, which a lot of people didn't like and less open rural areas, which seems like a way to solve some of the issues with conditions for this years race that wont happen again.

One of the benefits of doing it somewhere like Old Trafford is that there's ample amounts of paved space to put things like baggage facilities. The Manchester-Blackpool bike ride use it for the start and the drop off point on the way home, and the Great Manchester Cycle started and finished at Eastlands and had a feed area at Old Trafford. Makes sense to use facilities like that when there's no matches on, in my opinion.
