I won a white budgie at a village fete when I was 9. It lived until I'd left home at 18! It never talked and would peck anyone who went near it
I don't know why they keep randomly sending me prizes, I really don't.

Was it another prize for winning your age group, or is this for something else?
Don't recall winning much, ever - one year at primary school we got points for doing good work, etc, and at the end of the week each point translated into a ticket into a raffle to win bits of chocolate. I failed to win anything all year, despite once having more than half the tickets in the raffle and there being about 4 or 5 prizes. Not bitter or anything, mind
I did win a bursary at college to go to university, but that was more because I managed to get an A and 2 B's despite having bacterial meningitis toward the end of the first year, so not exactly a total win
