Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

(sorry I'm going to be spamming this thread with ideas as I have them so I can find them when I'm back at my desk later)

Yes, it's very much 'back of a packet' stuff atm, Rae. Player 1 gets a challenge, say, to find & photograph 3, 4, 5... places, objects, features on a straightish route: a Garmin would help here. Player 1 returns to base [this is a new thing!], Player 2 gets a similar challenge but heads off in a different direction, finds & photographs and returns to base. With a team of 4, N, S, E & W routes could work.

This idea would dispense with the hide n seek thing. Remote players could follow on Garmin, Google maps or similar. The team members remaining at the base could check the photos and maybe upload them

That's good, Pix. Ideal for GPS working.

Rae: r_f fozzy gave an intro to orienteering in Fetch Podcast, ep. 75. I'm sure he'd have some ideas about building 'courses' based on orienteering.

What about something along the lines of Ready, Steady, Cook, to see how creative they are with a set of ingredients and then vote on the best dish?

If there's a studio-based element, how about screenshots of some streetview locations for them to try and identify? A bit like geoguessr.

Or if they are out and about, identify the location and then visit in person and take a selfie as proof they were there?

Loving the ideas! Please keep them coming!

I don't know about live tracking, for security porpoises (the joy of working where we do), we're not supposed to have location services enabled on work phones.

Get them to play Fetchpoint?*

*I don't know quite how this would work - set up some sock-puppet accounts?

Make them answer one round in Finnish.

A round based on The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.

Treasure Hunt! The Fetch one, not the Anneka one. Maybe in pairs?

Steal some ideas from Taskmaster.
