Sorry Sushi, I must've been feeling sensitive last night, I should remember it's not all about me! I really enjoyed the show. I can't watch it totally live because running club is 7-8. So we watch it when we get in and we can fast forward the adverts until about the last 15 minutes when we usually catch up. |

Do they / should they put the technical ingredients list and instructions as given to the contestants online anywhere? Would be fun to have a go sometimes to see how we'd get on, especially with the benefit of knowing how it ought to work!

I just googled and indeed they do! thegreatbritishbakeoff.co.uk Interestingly the recipe says to soak the fruit in tea overnight (didn’t see them making tea!) abs to leave for two days before eating. It’s also labelled as ‘easy’ |

I think I'm going to have to bake on a Tuesday, so we've got something to fend off the cake cravings while watching!

I love malt loaf and am tempted to give it a try too. When I was younger I’m sure we had a recipe for a Weetabix loaf that also had tea in it. Off the back of a pack, probably |

I'm going to try it with Gf flour as there isn't a decent one on the market and I miss screen. (Or alternative) thanks meglet Mrs S- No worries. It was just unfortunate I hadn't seen your post or I'd have worded mine differently xx |

Sushi.
I think the contestants had less instructions but I'm looking forward to giving it a go.

Why don't they advertise that link on the programme! That's a brilliant resource (which I should have googled for - thanks Meglet!) and I can definitely see some weekend activities having a go at some of those. I'm quite glad the instructions are a little more comprehensive though!
