I'm going for Rory this time. How many times does he come out play steady and end up with with way too much to do the weekend, but then makes a big charge come Sunday, too little too late though.

I expect him to just go for it and post a 63/64 one of the first few days and boss it from there!

Sergio, would be great, but I just can't see that swing holding up to Sunday afternoon nerves, snap hook city when the pressure mounts.

Yep WW it was moved for the Olympics. It's better when they are spread out a bit. Yeah DJ and Rory should both be in the mix at this one.

DJ and Rory never in the mix :)

We got our 4 fist time winners in the 4 majors though. Well deserved win for Jimmy Walker.

Yes, I do hope that nobody was using this thread as a basis for laying a bet!

What's up with Rory. Seems far from fulfilling the early-career hype, which was much more towards him being the new Tiger than a very good player.

I'm not sticking up for him, he seems to have lost the plot, but if we'd known he'd have 4 majors by the age of 27 we'd say that he was doing fantastically.

Watching him he seems to hit it left a lot now and he obviously can't putt at all.

Ha! So glad I'm not a betting man, I'd be skint. Happy for Jimmy though, I like him.

Not sure about Rory, he's great tee-green, just not converting, think he needs to spend some time putting!

I think the standard has been raised though and it's just really, really tough to grind a win out these days. I expect he will be pretty pissed off right now though, just hope he fires come Ryder cup time.

yeah I like Jimmy, watched him play at the Scottish Open a couple years back.

I agree that a mix of good competition and (at times) bad putting is what is currently costing Rory. I have no doubt he'll win some more majors though.

There is a distinct chance of me not playing again for a looong time.

Played a round the other week at a mates posh course. First tee, big crowds on the terrace watched me top one in the bushes and proceed to watch me hack it down the par 5, unbelievable how you can go from shooting 85 1 week to almost not being able to make contact with the ball the next.

I was ready to walk off after 3, horrible 4 hours!

That is normal for me. Can go from breaking 90 to hitting 115.

Did you not have a few good holes to give you some sort of boost?
