Thanks. I do get those comments. Probably benefit from learning first as a kid; I got a smattering of lessons at 12-13yo I think. But unfortunately it still adds up to a 19 handicap, so it's definitely not as repeatable as you'd think Come on El Dude, join in the fun.
I'll need to take more than one video to show the variation

ptb - great rhythm. Could be an optical illusion based on the camera angle but it looks like your shoulders are quite open compared to the alignment of your feet. When you take it inside like you do that could lead to the occasional pull. There's nothing wrong with taking it inside of course (although that's not what the super strong pros do nowadays).
Cheers WW. I think you might be on to something - I'm not very aware of shoulder alignment at all, but I certainly take it back inside, closed face, and my tendency is a draw, my miss is a hook, or a big push if I'm fighting the hook.
Tempted.....
The only thing stopping you enjoying golf again is you, you know? (you might also say that about me and running again, maybe. But that's for another thread 🤣)

I'm not sure that taking it back closed is seen as any kind of issue nowadays. Do you remember the old Leadbetter school of thought where you had to get the wrists in position early, set the club open and let the shoulder turn do the rest? Think about Faldo and his waggles and all those videos of him practicing hitting from a wrists cocked open position and then simply turning his shoulders. He used to drive it about 265!
Now look at the top players, those with the most athletic swings. Perhaps putting Rory to one side for a minute: look at Hovland, DJ, Rahm, even Morikawa and they all take it away with a closed face. But the takeaway is soooooo wide, the power generated is EXTREME!
It's a different game now.
Anyway, I'm going for a run....

FEGS annual classic is going to be somewhat complicated by everyone apart from me and Nick having full time jobs?

I'm already committed to being on the 'right' side of the Irish Sea in October (Scotland, 21-23 October). Wouldn't be impossible to do something in the 18-20 October window (Wed-Fri). Will be with car, so reasonably geographically flexible. I probably couldn't schedule another separate GB trip, but if that's any good, then I'm in.
I believe I read about another thread member planning to jump off the treadmill of full-time work also?

I'm dropping down to three days a week in a fortnight's time - currently four but compressed hours.
Think Nick's already gone. Who else could it be? Matty and Dougal are waaaay too young.
