at the end of the day
well done all, and thanks guys for the water and cheddars at the 18 mile marker, out of the trillion things that go thrroo yer mind in ultras the one that stuck out for me was when i looked at the watch at the 30 mile marker and said aloud to myself " only a marathon to go ", at the end of the day a great way to " top up the tan"

Boing- I'm doing this this year- anyone else? It will be my longest race so far- bit worried about it, although at least the date means that it should stay light until nearly 9pm. Hope the weather imprves ++ in the next 2 weeks!

Boing indeed - Good luck tricialitt! I've gone for the Perth 100k next Sunday instead, so will miss out on the canal experience this year. How's the training going?

_andy i might see you this weekend. Hoping to get up to Perth to do a bit of supporting. Would have entered the 100k if i was in any fit state. At the moment i'm just in state
Good luck tricialitt, i've done this race twice in the past, it's not everyone's cup of tea with it being so flat etc. This year i will be somewhere along the CP's supporting my brother who is running his first ever ultra. If i see you i'll give you some .... er.... encouragement

I'll be there supporting tricia - I'll be running with Blind Ken, who in turn is supporting Hazel MacFarlance, blind runner with Troon Tortoises, who is doing the full GEDM. Looking forward to it. Expecting to do about 10 miles from Ratho into Edinburgh at the finish, prob 6-8pm, I expect.
Very best of luck - would love to do this one some time in future. Just to say "I ran from Glasgow to Edinburgh". Cool tale! :-)G

That time of the year again Might wander over and have a wee look. Last year I cycled along a bit of the badlands with a couple of runners towards the back and cheered at some others (possibly to their bemusement).
