I’m looking forward to Kent’s finest, folk-punk Oysterband this week. They’ve been going about as long as I have!
No idea what their recent set lists are like! It will be an adventure. I think it’s a seated gig but no idea what the venues like

When your ‘gig’ is at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, it’s always going to be civilised 🤣 Neil came on after the interval and did ask if anyone was actually expecting an interval - there was a very big no in reply! Plus everyone had all just been up on their feet having a proper good dance.
The sound was bloody brilliant. I may have purposefully found out where the best place to go for sound in the Symphony Hall was when choosing tickets 😉 plus Neil Hannon’s voice is just phenomenal when he proper lets go…..

It's the best venue I've ever been to for sound. I think the clue is in the 'symphony' bit of the name :-).

Just snagged a free ticket for Alt-J in The Liquid Rooms Edinburgh next Thu. Looking forward to seeing them in a comparatively small venue. Have seen them several times before and they're not bad ... not my favourite band, you understand but I'll definitely go and see them FOC.
