Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thought you might if you like that sort of thing. Have you tried Django Django?

Got them queued for up today now. Cheers

Sounds like fun, Big_G!

Went to see Porridge Radio the other night in Edinburgh. Really, really good .... I couldn't help thinking the front girl, whose name escapes me and I can't be arse looking up, sounds very like Amanda Palmer (more so live than on record).

Liked the audience demographic too; young people down the front all singing and bouncing along and old guys (like me) up the back nodding their heads and tapping their feet.

Dana, some them earlier this year. Great album.

Sleaford Mods last night. Nothing about them should work, but they were superb.

I described Sleaford Mods to a friend, I said if you were at a house party and their music was on in the kitchen, you’d probably go to another room.

I like them but they are quite abrasive.

Abrasive is spot on fields. I haven’t actually listened to a lot of their back catalogue so I had some proper lol moments last night.

A lot of Nottingham references as well that I related to.

I spent a fair bit of my teenage years in Sleaford. Other than an ex (and it's close) they are probably the best thing to come out of that place :)

Saw Idlewild at the Usher Hall Edinburgh on Saturday. First gig for a few years and loved it. It was for their 25th anniversary and they played for 2hrs 20 mins and had various former band members joining in at different times. I’ve seen then more times live than any other band so it was quite fitting for them to be my first gig after all the lockdowns etc.

Manics and Public Service Broadcasting were epic.
