74 as well on the quiz 😀 Bran was the bookie's favourite to take the crown, so all the theories and rumours were true. I thought that final episode felt very rushed and what they crammed in could have been given proper GoT justice in 2 or 3 regular length episodes. Given the stakes, the council scene required an episode by itself, and maybe a final episode where Bran, Sansa and Tyrion begin to rebuild Westeros. A scene with Tyrion convincing Bronn to leave Highgarden for King's Landing again would have been comedy gold! I loved Drogon melting the chair, very symbolic. You felt it was all over for the seven kingdoms the moment he did it. Not killing Jon showed he was a true Targaryen. A proper trial or scenes with Jon and the council should have happened as well. So many missteps to wrap it up quickly. Overall, the final two seasons were too short and lacked the subtlety of the previous six. You can't rush good storytelling. |

Which question was that Roberto? I'm sure I got one wrong because of that as well.

I agree that series 7 and 8 are rushed compared to previous series, the action is very packed in. But I’m happy with S8 and with the ending. I’d seen the suggestions that Bran ended on the throne but didn’t see it happening until Tyrion’s speech. In fact I thought they might pick Tyrion. In some ways it’s disappointing there wasn’t a big surprise or twist in the last ep, but I t’s hard to see how they could have wrapped it up any differently. (I’d guessed Tyrion to rule the South and Sansa the North, so was almost there considering he’s the Hand) I liked the full circle of the Stark story, and Jon heading into the woods north of the wall mirroring the very first scene (I wasn’t quite right about blue eyes but the mirroring was there). It was all about the Starks after all. I’ve got the second volume of book 5 still to read (I never caught up with the series so it was always spoiler free) and I look forward to eventually reading GRRMs finale. |

Postieboy, it was the one about how many kings varys served. But I think it was right now. And while it was predictable, I think it was only predictable in the context of this series. When GRRM was involved with the script and it was off the book material, the clues were much more subtle and intricate. Without him, the writers just aren't clever enough for subtle foreshadowing. But 2 seasons ago, I doubt many expected it to go this way. Whereas this series they made it obvious such as tormund saying to Jon to go north etc |

Even at the beginning of this series we didn’t know how it was going to unfold. It’s easy in retrospect to say ‘I guessed that’ but amongst the many theories there are bound to be some that are correct. I was fairly certain Dany would have to die in the finale, but had no idea how.
