Do you remember the vision Dany had way back when her baby dragons got kidnapped?

She walked into the throne room and it was snowing, it was falling everywhere. The roof was missing and a dragon flew over, then she walked through a door and her dead husband Khal Drogo was there with her dead baby.

So there was a dragon over Kings Landing, the Keep was in ruins, there was Snow on the throne and she went to be with her love and her child.

Random dreams or prophetic vision? You decide.

Anyway, tonight I found properly traumatic. Seeing characters we've got to know and understand if not love die in such horrific circumstances, seeing so many unknown smallfolk suffer and burn, seeing so much unnecessary death and destruction.

Is the show's message really that you can't trust a woman to rule because they're all a bit emotional and prone to be murderers and you need a bloke on the throne to be successful?

Also, how did the Iron Fleet get to be such bad shots in just a week?

Lots of people complaining she has gone mad too quickly and it hasn't been built up. She has literally lost a 'child's and then her best friend and her protector, been betrayed by 2 people she completely trusted and rejected by the man she loves in the space of a few weeks. Anyone could snap. And when you snap when you have immense power, it will only ever go one way.

Who would have thought that storming a city would have been so messy. Try finding the Iron Throne in that lot.

Price of hiring a stone mason has shot through the roof, not that there are any roofs left.

The ‘making of’ video is quite incredible. The lengths they go to for the shots, which is why it looks so awesome.

We’ve had flashes of Mad Dany. Remember the wagon train and the Tarleys? And Vaes Dothrak? And her anger at finding Jon is the true heir? Not so surprising I feel.

Remember what Varys (a rushed and unsatisfactory death) said about a Targaryen's sanity being decided by a flip of a coin? We found out in no uncertain terms last night. Burning the Iron fleet and the Golden Company, fine. That's war. Razing King's Landing to ashes and everyone in it? Her mad father would have been proud.

I think next week is clear cut now. Dany has to destroy her enemies, i.e. everyone in Westeros or they get to her first.
