£800K per game from the bars/restaurants at Spurs's stadium - compared with £150K per game for Man City, for example.

The squad does need a major overhaul though, what with an ageing defence and the possibility of key players leaving. And attracting the right players will be difficult without CL football.

Bit confused Brunski, because all the things you listed are not football bums on seats. Exactly my point. Are we discussing the same thing? Either way, Levy is such a tight ar$e that he won't spend the revenue on players...

Top 4 - City, Chelsea, United, Liverpool
Leicester
Chasing group - spurs, arsenal, Everton,
I can't see west ham having another season like last season. But that, on paper, should be the fight for the European spots again.

Possibly not, but if not West Ham there will be some other surprise team pushing for those spots - Leeds maybe?

Sorry trumpton, I didn’t mean to appear rude, I wasn’t referring to bums on seats either, just listing some of the ways the stadium improvement ‘should’ generate money other than just the tv deals.
Agree about Levy/ENIC - the investment returns are definitely prioritised over on pitch success.

To get in the top 4 they have to replace one of the accepted top 4, which is most likely to be Liverpool in terms of finance. Can't see that happening unless there is a massive investment in players.

4 top 4 finishes in a row under Poch, then sacked when he lost his mojo (from not being backed I'd guess).
As I said before the squad has been neglected a bit and a lot of catch up is required. Levy rested on his laurels as Poch continued to deliver top 4 results on little squad investment.
Think, like Leicester, Spurs will be looking to he thereabouts in the race for top 4, to top 6.
