I've bought it too. Things have improved a lot in the past few months, but I need to iron out a few bad habits.

But how long between hand entries? 0.8s or less? This is, it seems 'normal', but I'm way over.

Checked my swim last night and was doing full on 150m intervals at c1:45/100m, SPM consistently 29, rising to 30 when tired.

So about 1.0 sec between hand entries.

SWOLF was around 39-40 for those who use that.

(Swolf is adding the number of strokes and number of seconds for 25m/1 length - usually averaged over the length of the interval)

As for tempo, just raise it gently but steadily. You'll probably find it comes up quite easily over time.

Check first whether the consecutive bleeps refer to right hand or each hand!
