Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

im deffinatley trying to breath out in the water.

i have a problem with sinking. ie i dont float, i sink. So my front crawl legs are useless. If i hold a float out front and kick front crawl i dont really go anywhere. Makes me feel like my legs are crap when i know from running and cycling i have power in them.

trial and error - I've found that pushing my torso down makes my legs float. This may sound stupid, but are you using goggles?

Def try to relax, island. Remember that swimming is about technique, not about full on power at the expense of technique. It will just click one day and then you'll wonder why you couldn't do it before - promise. Make sure you are turning your head sideways to breathe, not up and forwards. Try this site too

Island, the Jules Rules article was something that JulesR (I think) created based on lot of experience and some coaching advice and instruction that they had received which was basically a list of tips and tricks to help you get the hang of this breathing thingy.

And I'm blowed if I can find it this morning! GergP put me on to it. I bet he'd be able to find it.
