I don't mind the long day today, just making sure that Christmas happens for eveyone and that all parcels get there on time.

Today I have the following jobs to do:
Switch off projectors in three teaching blocks.
That'll take me all of an hour. Got to stay until finance have finished though, lest they get a printer jam. Oh well...

Should also say, thanks Joopsy. Sometimes we forget how much extra work you get this time of year.

We finish unofficially at 12.30 today although if you wanted the day off you have to book a full day! We're also having bacon sandwiches bought by one of the partners for breakfast and then having drinks and nibbles in the boardroom from 11.30 for the first time so this morning should be fairly easy.

And the first Rev in the Greenwood
Today I have to get a service ready for tomorrow, which is 2-3 hours work. Then its about how much boring admin I can get done so it's not waiting for me later in the week. I'be also realised I haven't got anything for my husband other than what he's chosen for himself, and I do want to get him a couple of little surprises. I've got services at 6 and 11.15, so I'll be getting to bed about 1am.

Tough decisions.
1. Bugger off home at 12:00 2. Bugger off down the pub at 12:00 for a couple of hours then go home 3. Bugger off down the gym at 12:00 for a 'sufferfest' session then go home.
There is only one choice really isn;t there....

12:00 finish for us today - well unless someone decides to log a ticket because they have decided to be Grinches and work the full day and break stuff!

Ding Dooog Merrilly on High
Rev - I'm thinking of vicars more than I usually do: my brother-in-law is a CofE vicar, and having his first Christmas working at a cathedral rather than a nice, sleepy parish. I've never seen him looked stressed before but he's been run off his feet all December...

It's a different rhythm in a cathedral - I've known people coming from parish ministry that love it, and others that hate it - either way, it's different, even in a small cathedral like Chelmsford.
