Yep - 42,000 points from owning 3 traffic lights. To be fair, I did spent the month before the VLM scouting out and securing them rather it being purely accidental. I didn't realise it would be quite so profitable...

Hann (and CA) - I usually hover around the 20000 mark.
Lots of walking (we have a dog), some running and daily bike rides, but not massive.
Squishing the bug every day helps a lot - that alone gives ~6000 points.
(Usually) having no neighbours means I can plant flowers fairly easily and water them without them getting picked
On the downside, I don't usually get traffic lights so don't benefit from them unless I have a temporary 'visitor' to my area.
My highest ever was about 26k and that was a few years back when I did go for regular long bike rides, so lots of flowers and points from raiding distant areas.

Thanks, that does explain! 
No traffic lights here... But I have realised that planting and watering flowers is lucrative! By walking alone, I am pushed to get 300 points, even squishing my bug every day! As most jewels are out of reach, so I usually start the day deleting/reporting 3/4 of them...
I have had the flower with nothing next to them, so looks like I have been playing for 42 days now

LOL R4R - 'Usually' no neighbours/'temporary visitors' - neither of those would be an oblique reference to the fact that I've spent the best part of the last week and a bit staying on your patch would they?
You should be able to go back to normal now - my elderly mother has needed some support in the past couple of weeks but seems to be back on her even and self-sufficient keel now so I'm back in lumpier places
