Jock Itch
I actually wanted to register as Jock Strap but it was taken, the next best thing was Jock Itch
Referred too as Itchy, Itch, Itchster, Jock, Jockster over the years.
Introduced myself once at a race to a fellow fetchie and they refused to shake my hand thinking I'd pass on this ailment

Diogenes
Diogenes was my name on that other place for a couple of reasons. Firstly it was ironic: Diogenes of Sinope was none for his stoicism, self-denial, and rejection of the finer things in life whereas I am not. Secondly, it was a pun, because when I began running I was worried about my dodgy knees. It turned out they were the least of my worries.
Generally I seem to be known as Dio which I pronounce to rhyme with Neo. It makes a change from Steve.

years ago, when emails at work were a new and exciting thing, the place i worked at that time decided that work email addresses would be "first name @ Company Name".
As there were two Gordon's, the other one became GordonT and I became GordonG, soon pronounced as one word i.e. Gordong. To this day when i meet up with colleagues from that job they still refer to me as Gordong.
My Fetch pic is taken from one of the first pair of running shoes i bought, Adidas ones where you could design the colours yourself and have a logo/word written on it. (One guy got in to a long-running dispute with Adidas cos he wanted Nike written on it and they woulnd't let him!).

That's a good point Sam, and it is more common now to use your own name in Fetch, rather than a pseudonym (I think). Probably because mostly everyone uses their own name and identity on Twitter, Facebook etc.
However, even using your full name and with possibly on some social media, your full identity being errr, identifiable (location, kids, work etc.) people still spout some horrific nonsense and/or vitriol. Not sure people seem bothered about "hiding" any more. What accountability, even if named?! But that's for a different thread!
Gobi - I knew yours, and the meaning, and therefore the pronunciation (Gobby!) (Though personally I've found you to be loud and knowledgeable and helpful, rather than loud and just loud for sake of it, as "Gobby" seems to imply!) However, didn't know it came from Gobi-Wan, though obv from your avatar I saw there was a Star Wars connection! G

I'm happy with my avatar (which has a story in itself). My running pictures aren't fantastic as I always seem to be in concentration. My son calls it frowning!
