Or if very chatty, keep this for chat, annd have another thread for 'entry posts' ? Or use a blog and just a pointer to it from here? I suspect we don't have to overthink it - it will work itself out in the first month or two? Although I do enjoy any commentary on each entry as much as the photos - especially if humerous or particularly difficult.
