Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The one we had was in the 'Indian Brewery it was all lager and pales the food came out on big platters, all a bit basic but very tasty. Favourite bar was probably the first, Sommar which is right on top of Victoria Square.

It was very good. If you ever get the chance Birmingham is very good for a wander. I think this is visit 3 in 20 + years and we have only repeated a visit to 1 pub and to be fair it had 12 cask hand pumped Ales, so you may as well....

Back from Southwold and did the Adnams brewery tour for the first time since 2008. Got to taste several varieties. Ghost Ship is always my favourite and has the edge over its 0.5% version.

Sea Fog is a cloudy ale which has recently been released but is quite poor. Glad I tried that one before going to the shop as I previously liked the sound of it but is one to avoid. A few of us on the tour felt the same way.

Some of Adnams new beers recently have been a bit disappointing. Thanks for the heads up about Sea Fog.

I have been researching our trip to Portugal, Lisbon then walking the SW coast. Lisbon has LOADS of craft beer venues! I was fearing a beer desert, we are there for 4 days. The coast is not so good, but after a day's walking, nondescript Euro Lager will have to do....of course there is always Port.

Just had a Distant Hills beer, nice bottle conditioned Pale ale. The guy from the shop tells me it is Howard Town Brewery and they have re-invented themselves, still make their old beers and added some new trendy ones.
