Went a bit bonkers last night. Pizza from our local Italian last night, we didn't eat in, covid infections far too high for that, did have a pint in the pub in the empty backroom though, the pub is still observing no drinking at the bar, front door side open, may get a bit chilly, soon. Anyhow noticed the Italian had 3 Italian craft ales, I had La Zia a pale ale with artichoke and rosemary, much better than it sounds. |

You can't usually go wrong with Brewers Gold mr d! We know of one pub in deepest rural Suffolk that always has it on but recently found another although both are a bit of a drive for us.

If you are in Ipswich it was on in the Thomas Wolsey, not sure if they stocked it pre-pandemic. I know the Dove and the Fat Cat used to stock it, but not sure if they still do. I had a lovely pint of JHB in the Dove on Wednesday, forgot about that. It made up for the 'Citra's just gone off' disappointment. |

Haven't been to the Dove for years. Might have to pay a visit to the Thomas Wolsey - I think the last time I was there was when it was the Black Adder and owned by Alan Brazil! The Queens Head Gt Wenham always has it on - opening hours are a bit reduced since the lockdowns were lifted though.

That is quite a while, think he left at least 25 years ago and it was called something else in-between. Used to go to the Queens Head for their famous curries with work when I was based in Sproughton. |

Been ages since I've had a beer in Ipswich, but getting to know pubs in Norwich as I'm working there a regular basis. Discovered The Murderers last week, and had nice pint of Murder Ale. |

Went to the pub opposite the arts center a couple of years ago, it served a great pint.
