I saw it, there's a newish pub up the road, Spring Gardens, daft name, and a huge rambling pub, they have done it up, good food, loads of ales on, plus lots of craft and bottles, 50+ beers, amazing.
The brewery that owns is is called Fool Hardy, they have another pub called The Hope Inn, just outside Stockport. Oustanding always has 3 beers on at the Spring Gardens, it was an excellent IPA, I could have been back in the USA.

A good weekend beer and pub wise.
Saturday afternoon, after a decent 8 miles hike, which ended in a place called Wincle :-), that has it's own brewery, had a pint of Cosmic IPA and it was as named.
Sunday, walked over to Marple and visited Samual Oldknow, a micro pub (Marple has 2), tiny bar, 3 tables, tiny downstairs, 1 table and some shelves. Excellent. 3 ales on, Downton and Outstanding Ales.
Very Good.

Just enjoying a pint of "Red October" by Downlands Brewery. It was a toss up between this or a Jaipur which should give you some indication of how good this Red October is!
