Thanks for all your kind words, and nominations, and presumably some votes... I'm very touched - although (and at the risk of sounding a bit cheesy) it should really be memberS of the month, because it wouldn't have happened without all your musical talent and enthusiasm. And thanks for some interesting questions for me to be thinking about.

Thanks also for all the people who have expressed an interest in Chariots of Fire. I plan to make a start on it at the weekend. I will almost certainly be back with some questions about ukulele chords and the compass of a euphonium.

Day off today...I'm making some awful sounds on my trumpet! Flute and piano are still my best bets for the B side.

I made some awful sounds with my Bugle the other day, purchased because it has no buttons and therefore would be so much easier to play, right? Wrong!

A didgeridoo doesn’t have any buttons either 😉

*chuckles* BarefootEm! It's all harmonics on the bugle with the lack of valves! I must start doing terrible things to piano...compared to when I actually could really play well.

I just lack the patience to learn the guitar...I can play about a dozen different chords on it, but it's just weird! ;)

[My right handed daughter plays the guitar left handed. She felt that it was more intuitive as she thought that the higher pitched strings ought to be physically higher than the lower pitched strings]

ooo now, I don't have and have never tried a didgeridoo... (adds to the list of instruments to add to mine and isheps collection!)

That is impressive ER, as a leftie who firs tried to play a right handed guitar and failed miserably, I now have a left handed and find it much easier! Anyone who can play well is doing better than me, but to play wrong handed is pure genius!

Interesting ER! Hubby has a number of right handed guitars that I occasionally try to play bits and pieces. Chords only so far...and my strumming technique would be considered scandalous! ;) Next time hubby's teacher comes over I'll ask for advice on strumming and how to do it!
