Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

OK, so I've got the charger and I've now got both some NiMH batteries and the LiIo battery that comes with the boys new car.

All seems self explanatory in terms of voltage and selection of different programmes, but I'm a bit lost as to what the current setting should be.

I'm guessing that charging with a high current is "faster" but are there any rules of thumb as to what to use?

For LiPo you charge at same as mAh eg 1200 mAh is 1.2A so 1 hour to full charge (tho 20 mins top up more normal).

NiMH can't remember cos hardly ever do it. Same?! :-) G

Guy in the video bought two, so they can be raced... Watch this space, if it's any good. :-) G

It's good. Small enough to drive round inside house with speed turned right down. Will wait til weather improves to take it outside. Looks solid.

Fixed broken ball joint on 4wd. Be fun to try new astro track when it's built. :-) G

About This Thread

I can't believe that we've got Crafts, Gardening, Computer Games, but not model cars, trains...!

Just don't call them toys!

My particular hobby was 1/10th scale radio controlled car racing. I'm now looking to get into radio controlled planes. We have some Airfix model builders in here and Lego builders too. Any type of model vehicles really! Planes, trains, automobiles... boats, helicopters, anything! Come join in! :-) G
