Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

jd - yes we included Castle Crag, oddly enough David Powell-Thompson was filming on there and guessed straight away what we were up to.

I think it's the inclusion of CC that makes this the challenge it is, without it (and possibly Seathwaite Fell) it would be something else completely.

We did Beefy’s Nab this afternoon. 3.6 ml / 600ft-ish and a lovely little local event. Stef won a bottle of wine for being 5th lady and I was about 20 secs behind her

I had a go at Embsay. Flipping hard for under 3miles, but at least the climb over the crag was mercifully quite short!

I was slow and didn't win any wine...

I'm contemplating the Three Shires race on Saturday, my first Lakeland AL for a couple of years. Anyone else? I last did this in 2011 and ended the day in A & E with a big hole in my right leg, so am hoping to improve on what was a pretty bad day :-)

Thanks Ros, she's OK. She's got a couple of black eyes and a few other scrapes and bruises, she's back to hospital tomorrow morning for a proper clinical assessment - it was just the minor injuries unit we went to on Saturday.

So yes, hope to come through this one unscathed - SimonF is going too. If all goes well I will be having a go at Langdale as well, still the meanest race you can squeeze into 13 miles :-)
