Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

"skeg" was a very common term when I was in the RN.

I heard it when I worked for a company in Osset

I’ve done 3 or 4 full YORMS; best time 4-26, 2007 - the year I that marathon they put on in London. I did a better time in September than I did in April and have not done anything like a serious road race since

I’ve done some very serious road races; I’ve even taken a few of them seriously :-O

Q: I'm unlikely to enter big Peak races like Edale Skyline / Kinder Downfall but wouldn't mind running the routes. Before I chuck some £ Harvey's way for the maps, are there private land parts of these routes that are only opened up for the race?

Skyline is all footpaths, not sure about Downfall. If you go on race website and look at route details it usually says if a section is "race day only"

Kinder Scout is access land isn’t it? I’d have thought you could run the route
