Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I suspect you could do it yourself. Probably involves stroking it with a magnet. (I wouldn't let most Cotswold employees use a magnet unsupervised ;-))

I sort of tried and failed already. Maybe it's time for another try.

I think silva will do it for free... if it is a silva compass.

I saw somebody recommending fixing it with one of those magnets farmers feed to cows to trap sharp bits of metal.

My one was a Silva. I took it back to see if they could return it for repair, and they did it in the shop while I waited.

While I think, just posted this on the Ultra thread but it's probably worth posting here too...

Interesting read for anyone with a rechargeable head torch, especially if it's one of the cheap CREE ones bought online from China..

Bloody hell, that could have been worse couldn't it? An abject lesson in not buying cheap shite there methinks!

We spent 5 mins looking for the lens out of a friend’s head torch a couple of years ago on its first outing but I’ve not seen one spontaneously combust 🔥

Crikey. I hope the drifts have been cleared ready for nets practice tomorrow :-)

Our Tuss has a wander on the outfield and seemed to suggest the pitch might offer a bit of bounce ;)
