phal Oct 2024 6:34pm, 18 Oct 2024 4,972 posts	0 phal After a dodgy experience being belayed by someone I knew and climbed with reasonably often at the time, I’m really careful now with who belays me, even if they’ve climbed before. It was a full on “santa drop” to the point that one of the chaps working at the wall walking past commented on it as he was there. I refused to climb with them on the walls again because they told me that allegedly they “had me”. No apology. Erm. No. One strike and out.
