Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

One last climb this morning before our trip to the lakes for a week. Decided to tire myself out on a project and got to the 2nd to last hold a few times.
Finished myself off with some harder attempts.
Back in about 10 days.

Good work, Dave :) Lots of supercompensation time. Do shout if you get indoor climbing weather while you're up here.

We'll be in Derbyshire 3rd-10th August. Won't do the outdoor meet (buzzy ticker still untrustworthy) but happy for a social indoor climb anywhere within easy reach.

Meant in the nicest possible way, I hope we don’t. But will pack kit just in case.

I’m working in the build up to Windgather, so probably won’t make it out for a climb that week unless I do an evening session at our wall.

We got to the top of the big wall in Kendal this week for the first time in a long time. The "easy" lead route (5/5+) used to allow you to avoid the overhanging section by having that part of the route wander over to the perpendicular wall on the left, but with the refurbishment that perpendicular wall has become a lot narrower and the climb goes up the overhang with just a couple of bridges. We needed a nice cup of tea after that, but I'm sure it'll have done us good and the next time will be easier.

Good session on bouldering wall. Another purple (V3-V5 range but probably V3) project ticked off.

A friend arrived about an hour in so I got some routes in on top rope. Nice 6b+ project for next time on fresh arms.
