Good stuff. We’re just back from our wall. I’m having to take it easy for a week or so as I hammered the leg that contains my injured knee into the wall last week during a lead fall 😀

You need to be more careful Dave
I had forgotten about the problem solving required whilst climbing. I really enjoyed it.

Knee is fine. I took a fall on lead and instead of both feet into the wall I took the force of the approx 8 foot drop with one door into the wall through my right knee and made it sting a bit. The physio has advised I take it easy so I’m climbing within myself, not doing anything I know I can’t climb, for a week or so.
Back in tonight and figuring out how to do the harder stuff I know I can do without over exerting the knee.

Petzl have issued a recall on their Pirana belay/descending device. Only the latest version is affected (the one with the deep cut-out lockoff slot). They're mostly sold for canyoneering, so probably won't affect you folks?

YouTube are currently streaming the US ice climbing champs. It looks both fun and expensive.

Ice climbing is really hard. Tried it once, the movement is so different with axes and ice crampons 🤣
I would love to go to Rjukan and do a beginners course tho they have so many waterfalls to climb!

Why did I not climb for a whole year? Been back a few weeks and loving it.
