Me and MrsC used to climb loads, mostly trad but some indoors in the winter (she used to be part of the local "garage league", where folks competed to set the most difficult bouldering problems on home-made walls in their garages). Hardly done any since the kids were born, but we've still got all the gear and our boundless optimism (and a load of guide books to reminisce over).

Get back out there AC. It's great for the kids too!

Did you have a good climb Hp?
I'm struggling it bit with a joint inflammation flare up in my hands so it was not meant to be a night of hard climbing as a few joints are particularly sore. But somehow I managed to climb 5 v2-v4 routes which is the limit of my current ability! Chuffed to bits. :) :)

Yeah it was a good climb. I bought a new bouldering book which arrived today - exciting!!!

Our wall is very child friendly AC. QP sees it as a second home at the moment. It can get a bit chaotic when there are loads but they are mostly a joy.

Small does too HP. He likes climbing but spends most of his time eating their snacks rather than climbing haha.

QP had NICAS class tonight. This means 1.5 hrs child free climbing. When we left the house I was convinced I was too tired / stressed to make anything of it. I even brought the laptop so I could work. I had a really good climb, nailed a problem I had been struggling over and feel totally energised and stress free 😊😊

Cool nice work halfpint! I was at Rokt last night with my search and rescue buddies, did a load of bouldering and some top roping! Nothing too taxing but I did do some v3-v4s. And then fell awkwardly off the comp wall onto my ankle which is rather sore today. Luckily I have a week or so to recover. :(
