Yeah, not sure my blitz openings are really holding up at this length of play. I've not played anything longer than 5 minute games for the best part of 20 years and have forgotten almost all the theory I knew back then.
Open to more challenges if anyone wants a game.

I can see why the opening works in blitz, that second move wasn't expected at all. I guess in blitz, if the opponent isn't familiar with the position, it's a big advantage.
The analysis suggests I built a decent advantage, threw it away, then gained it back again. Not sure I agree with it.

Apologies again to Vancouver Jogger, Cheg and Pothunter. Such a busy weekend running Scouts and apparently I’ve been put on “vacation” by the site which I’m not sure what that means but I think our games are still live rather than timed out.
Anyway, sorry. Back on it this week when I’ve got some time to think.

Thanks for the game CW! I think we both missed some winning moves and I made some blunders. At one stage I seemingly failed to notice that I’d managed to effectively exchange my Queen a for a knight, but I was very lucky that you missed it too!

Thanks for the game JKrampus. The analysis says we both missed a win along the way. It was a very brain melting position around the advanced pawn with my rook and Knight vs your 2 rooks. Being able to bring my king into the action whilst yours was stuck made a big difference i think.

Cheers RHB. I felt like I was always on the back foot - all weekend I could see this and my other game slowly pulling further out of sight.
Going to take a few days off - busy at work, busy in other gaming pursuits, so can't give chess the focus it needs right now.

Got myself into the second division ATM if the cutoff happened now. Would likely have some good games in second or third division. Would likely end up with the wooden spoon in Div 1 (even if I could hopefully put up a decent fight) given my 5 defeats so far are against the top 4.
