Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

You get to keep you pitch if you go out for the day, RR. Some people have a little sign to say it's an occupied motorhome/campervan pitch (unless there's stuff you'll leave behind like a couple of chairs).

If you have hook-up, it's not usually metered so don't worry about using a fan heater.

As for electricity, places we’ve been haven’t been limited, as far as I remember.

Ridgemonkeys are a fab piece of kit. We have the large and small and this covers all our cooking options.

The sites we have used with tent / van it is a standard charge.
Ronnie you might want to look at a small electric oil heater as a short term measure certainly alot quieter than a fan heater especially if you keep it on at night until the temperature rises.

Some sites charge for the amount of electricity you use but we’ve not been on any of them.

We used an electric fan heater last year but only in the awning. Have never used one inside the van as it has always been warm enough (I don't like to be hot in bed anyway). Once the doors are closed in the van it is lovely and snug.

Mr Woo even got the ladders out and cleaned the roof of our motorhome (no mean feat - it’s quite a big b*gger) at the weekend in honour of our first outing this year on 16th April :)

He was shattered afterwards! 😂

I love Durness!

We will be tackling our roof soon, too SW.
