Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

ION I’m rather chuffed with myself for thinking of Araldite to repair a catch on the oven door that fell off earlier this year. Obviously time will tell as to whether it can sustain being pulled on each time I open the door, but it feels rock solid at the moment - and saves me keeping the door closed by tying an iPad charging cable around the handle :-)

Nature Scot are great for allowing stopovers at their nature reserve car parks. Last night parked up at St Cyrus reserve. 5 minute walk from the stunning beach, loads of walks around the reserve and car park is like new. Do wish we had the leveling blocks with us though.

Toilets would normally be open overnight, but closed as it's the Christmas break just now.

Had a stunning, clear starry night last night.

St Cyrus is one of my favourite places. Nice for a swim too (perhaps not at this time of year). New car park is very fine (albeit quite sloping in places, as Ronnie found).

Yes, that’s where we swam. With a seal, if I remember right. That was a good swim :)

Advice required from those who have done insulation. I’m in the midst of insulating my van (just a Peugeot partner). I’m using the 4 layer system like this kiravans-workshop.com . How much coverage do I need with the foam? If I just do the main panels it leaves a lot of metalwork but I presume the carpet needs to go on the metalwork (videos I’ve watched seem to suggest this. I feel like I want as much coverage as possible.
