Saw a little egret a couple of days ago, again flying over the motorway! About 50 whooper swans today, grazing in fields

Saw a Reeve's pheasant this morning. I didn't know what it was until I googled it (it was obviously a pheasant but not one I'd seen before). Really striking.

I'm headed to Attenborough tomorrow so hope the waxwings are still there. They have been at a school in my street quite often of late but I've always been at work.

Heard skylarks over the field next door whilst I was gardening yesterday (pruning bastard thorny roses š”). My favourite ever bird song.
