I like your birds! Nearest I've been to oystercatchers was hearing them on Brue/Parrett estuary in Somerset, wonderful sound, didn't have time to go over to Steart. Next time. |

Curlew calling this morning around first light plus four seen in the next valley along with two oystercatcher and the rare sight of a dozen or so cormorant flying together. Maybe they'd roosted nearby?

2 owl day today... SE this morning, a brief glimpse from the car, and a barn this afternoon / early evening, a good view, also from the car. And 2 Oystercatchers sitting on the Rheged sign; I think they nest on the grass roof! |

I came across a small flock of starlings having a mass bathing/puddling splash session despite the perishing wind. Very endearing, so sociable
