Checked out our cross country course yesterday, about 200 metres of calf deep water to go through at the moment, which seems to be home to the pair of snipe that i flushed out.

Had a lovely run along the beach in my home town this morning. Brent geese and loads of waders around. Quite lovely. Of only the legs had worked!

Little egret at Hatfield Forest parkrun this morning
I know they've been here for a good few years now and are well established, but my birding days began when they were unknown in Britain so I still think of them as kind of exotic!

We watched a David Attenborough film this morning and there was some great footage attracting fish by shuffling his big yellow feet around. Fascinating!
