I feel very lucky to have had a nuthatch and family visiting my garden feeder all summer and still here this morning.

D2, I'm very envious! I still remember my first sighting of one when I was a very enthusiastic 10 year old - I was beside myself with excitement! I still have a soft spot for them some considerable time (ahem) later.

Nuthatch and treecreeper are fascinating little birds. Nuthatch very vocal for good part of year and a call worth learning

Driving up the Antrim Coast Road, just above Larne. There was a pod of at least 6 dolphins swimming just off shore 😄

Red Squirrel
Still seeing lots of jays at close quarters in the local cemetery and really noticing difference in size and colour between them. Last week I saw a lone redwing in a holm oak there. (Earlier this year I saw lots of redwings near a river consistently over a month or so on t'other side of town.)
I'm always thrilled to see nuthatches. I've v occasionally seen one in my dad's garden. One day it was on the feeder which dangles above his dining room window - we were eating a meal and it landed there.

A garden 1st for us today. A flock of LTT. They’ve always been round locally but not in the garden.

I think some redwings have just turned up in the tree outside my window at work. I can't get a good look at them but that's what I think they are, at least.

Yes, redwings are about, certainly. I saw a flock on Saturday, flying over.
