Quick question- now its mended, is it possible to join the keswick-threlkeld path somewhere to the east of the start? Say after it’s gone over the river for the first time? Difficult to tell from map whether paths go under it rather than join - the snap to route doesn’t seem to work in the town (maybe that’s me, though)

I've a vague feeling that you can get access somewhere off the garage forecourt?

You can definitely get on behind Travis Perkins by steps or the other side of the road by ramped access that was put in for the cycle diversion.

You could come down the road that leads to the holiday lodges (off the bypass slip road) and then there's a gate to the path where the Bobbin Mill platform used to be.

Then there's a couple of footpaths that lead in to the woods on the north side of the path

You could also park on the lane behind travis Perkins and join the path there too RH as that’s where our BnB was a few weeks back if you check my walking route from the LT weekend 👍

I’ll check your route, thanks Gromit - we’re staying in a bungalow, mid housing estate, that side of Keswick and I’m looking for easy just-nip-out-for-a-runs :)
