Because of a combination of weather and dogs we missed off quick trips to Hare Stones, Drygill Head, Miton Hill and Round Knott. We had thought about doing Miton Hill and Round Knott in the way back but that would’ve been cruel.

Not planning on going the whole hog with it. I started counting my WW in 2017 and got the hill list app. So if we’re on a route and there’s a top that’s not a WW then I’ll pick it off. Not today though.
I’m on 50 odd logged WW’s now, which in reality is probably over halfway to the 214, but never bothered logging before.

I know what you mean, I do the same thing - it makes a given route much more interesting if you can divert to other tops. I don't know if I'll ever complete the Birketts, I had every intention but have ran out of steam a bit.

What are there? Is it 515 Birketts? That’s some commitment. I reckon the WW’s will be enough.

My brothers due to finish his WW’s in March 31 years after his first.

541, though they'll accept 540 as a qualifier because for most people the 541st is Pillar Rock. I think we're about 460-ish in.

Close. I think I’ll keep picking them off as I do WW tops and see where I get.

It's always wise to have a good look at any given route you may have planned, I've missed several that have been quite close due to poor planning, then it's a proper pain to have to go back and get it. As an example, I know for sure that we haven't bagged Little Harter Fell and yet I must have passed within five metres of it any number of times. Have definitely bagged Adam Seat a little further to the SE though! Harold Street is an excellent resource for Wainwright/Birkett bagging. Synge bagging too of course :-) (sorry Tim)

Mr SD is bagging Pouchers, rather than Wainwrights. He's up in the Lakes atm for family reasons and has today ticked off Silver How and Wansfell. (I think he's done all the big ones and is now ticking off the 'lesser' fells).

Pouchers! There's a name that hasn't been mentioned here before :-) SimonF and C bought me a copy of one of the Poucher books, I've got just the one.
