Well spotted Detective WW 😀. The gloves must have just come off. Maybe for lunch? It was definitely a gloves On day. Montane winter ones for me. |

We'll be up in the northern lakes at the weekend and are planning to do Knott and Great Calva from somewhere near Mungrisdale or Mosedale. On looking at Google maps to see how far it is from where we are staying to Mungrisdale, I notice that Google maps is showing 'Mungrisdale Round, Hiking area, Temporarily closed'. Any thoughts? |

My thoughts are to give that "Temporarily Closed" statement a good ignoring. Assuming the route you're talking about is this one: lakelandroutes.uk I don't see anything there that is closed or with limited access. |

I assume that "closure" is a hangover from lockdown. Nothing to stop you having a great day out round the Back O'Skiddaw.

Thanks guys. The route I'm actually thinking of doing is this one - walklakes.co.uk - but I was just curious as to how far the 'Temporary closure' might extend. I'm also hoping to do something to include Binsey and that will finish all the Northern fells ( of the Wainwrights and also Fellrangers ) |

Are you also bagging Fellrangers R4R? Not many of us about I have just three left to do, I'll get to them at some point this year. Just checked and they're Muncaster Fell, Great How (Eskdale) and Wallowbarrow Crag.
