Rosehip
The last time we had a long power cut here, Youngest was a toddler - all 5 of us slept on the lounge floor with the fire lit.

Then the next week we ran out of oil and had to repeat for a few days until we got some delivered.

No power Han… thanks for asking.

Actually we have also run out of water now.

It’s usually pumped from a spring in the valley bottom. Big storage tanks in the loft, but today it was time to decamp to Mum in laws in a warm modern bungalow in Windermere. She has this marvellous invention called electricity. We must get some one day.

Stunning photo!

But very dire you are still without power! Here everything has now normalised itself so I think restored, no more generators...

At the farm I had with the ex hb, we had a diesel generator as a backup for our water, pumped up from a borehole, no collection tanks!

Not Mushroom at the Inn
For anyone close to Millom this weekend, Sat 18th Dec - Joss Naylor will be running his first parkrun. They are wanting as many as possible to join in and support / celebrate with Joss.

The course has now changed from being one of the hardest in the country (think knee-deep in mud) to a fast purpose built track.
