I had a conversation with my Bristol based formerly local friend about who deserves what. We hate the sense of entitlement. She was born and bread here, her parents still live here. I have lived here 20 odd years.
I didn't mind the thousands of wild campers flooding our tiny village, blocking the single track access roads, stopping locals being able to do their work that much to be fair.
It was the defecating and urinating in our water courses. The littering, trashing of the landscape and disrespect for our privacy and property that got at me. I had people walking into my house, trespassing into my garden, their dogs going after my chickens in my garden, being told off for telling people to leave my garden.
Coming home and not being able to park my car, as there were 3 cars on my parking. Then blocking them all in by parking across and them then calling a tow truck to remove my car???
Then, after they all left, we are left to pick up the pieces: tents, litter, rotting food... Deal with the rats attracted by lack of sanitation etc
